Twelve Country Wishes

I wrote this list back in 2011. I just wanted to let you know that some good changes have taken place in my life. For one thing I have set aside time early in the morning and on my days off from work to continue my hobby of oil painting and writing.

Yes there is some magic in writing down your wishes! The magic of seening in my mind's eye the country side has generated a search for some land. Our quality of life and special unique personalities plays and important role in our decision making. Choosing to focus on our community, world and personal vision is so important.

I offer this list to you as an illustration of the way you could start your own plan of direction. Hopefully your journey will be an exciting one taking you to your dream come true life!

Close your eyes for a moment and recall a scene in your past which brings back that feeling of community and good times with your family. Now let's begin to bring forward some of those special moments into our homes today. Join me in seeing some of the following wishes become real today! Make a cup of coffee or tea and relax for a few minutes.

l. I wish for a painted scene of light snow drifts such as the ones which allowed my children to use their skis and sleds at home in our cozy Oregon countryside. I see icicles hanging from the roof and knitted sweaters and mittens and a warm fire in the wood stove.

2. I wish for peace in our cities and peace between Democrats and Republicans so that we can rebuild trust and mutual respect in our nation.

3. I wish for increased jobs and career openings so that our children and grandchildren will be able to have enough money to buy homes and food and yes, even vacations again.

4. I wish for a cure for cancer and hope for the future for those who feel hopeless today.

5. I wish for understanding and unity between family members who are alone or homeless.

6. I wish for the simplicity of country life which included growing a garden of vegetables and keeping chickens.

7. I wish for time to slow down again like it was when I was young and longing for time to pass quickly to grow up

8. I wish for time and quiet to prevail so that my creative energies could become active and productive.

9. I wish for my husband's healing to continue and teach us all to eat healthy natural foods.

10. I wish to spend one day a week painting pictures and writing blogs.

11. I wish to share my love of Country living and growing gardens with my grandchildren.

12. I wish health prevailed in our nation.
