Ruby Writer

Ruby writer is calling from the mountain top. I am listening to the muse once again. The elevation is around 6000 feet at my retreat. Settling into the morning I remember many scenes inspired by the music of my Soundscape music station. Feeling exhausted from my work week, I sip a cup of coffee from my yellow Yosemite coffee cup. The letters Yosemite are embossed into the clay of the cup. I trace the letters with my right index finger as if to reset that scene once again. I eat honey roasted peanuts for just enough energy to take the steps once again. Closing my eyes and resting in the gentle sound, I return to the path. Keeping a journal is one way to revisit some of your dream ideas. This way you can come back years from now and read an entry which was specially meaningful.

On the horizon is my dream. Ruby writer takes pen in hand and releases her spirit to journey beyond this town. Among the wooded forest trees sets a country home. It is nestled near the shoreline at the end of a great lagoon and surrounded by an acre of land. The rich scent of coffee and flavor embraces my writer's spirit. Here am I enjoying a trance like state of joy. I step into my daydream along the shores of Lake Tahoe enveloped in whispy clouds.

Inside the house I see an open floor plan showing paintings on the walls. It is a comfortable interior showing large oil paintings and framed photographs of the surrounding Sierras and vistas. The interior is a delightful menagerie of color, light, wood texture and music of course. There are country quilts on the beds. There are writing desks and even an art studio on the main floor.

I am invited to invited to linger in harmony and to refresh myself in the nearby crystal clear waters just outdoors at the shoreline. Green is everywhere from the tall pines to the meadows. I remember the magic of discovering the Lake shore over ten years ago.

Ruby writer was born in July hence the name of her blog. She loves to write and paint and photograph natural surroundings. Beside her in these majestic surroundings she enjoys the company of a man who writes books and also loves the short hikes along the shoreline. Many paths lead me to remember this scene. It is the meditation and the visit from the swirling clouds which guide me once again to my dream place. Destiny calls us to travel many different paths in life. This vision is one of my favorite.

I must have been a Native American in another life. Streams and shorelines as well as mountain flute music fill my day with joy and refreshment. My favorite colors are shades of blue and sunset colors. Journeys are the reason for life. Adventure gives us new ideas and experiences to share.
